I enjoyed your pictures very much! I currently work at Danville Child Development Center- we purchased the old farm colony building- I love to read about the history of the hospital and the area:)

Great website. Thanks for sharing your photographs. I had three relatives who ended up in DSH. my great grandmother was in three times and died there. I got to tour the hospital in the 90's when I worked for Community Services Group. The tunnels under the buildings where food charts were used to transport food from one area to the next were rather interesting. In Social Work school we studied the architecture of state hospitals so your website has only fueled my interest in wanting to know why my relatives were there.
